JOIN THE TEAM

Our unit Material & Substance Master Data delivers efficient processes and applications for maintenance of Material and Substance master data in collaboration with BASF's divisions and Shared Service Organization. 
The product team’s responsibilities include to design, consult, deliver and run state of the art digital solutions based on SAP ERP and SAP S/4 HANA. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As integral part of the product team you take over the role as Solution Architect and actively consult the product team in the area of IT/software architecture
• You align functional and process requirements with the Internal Business Partners, Product Owners and the Product Family Architect and translate them into IT-language
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and system go-lives
• A major part of your job will be the active and leading engagement in the design and implementation of the future material model for core chemicals within the NGBA project on a yet to be determined platform/STIBO/non-SAP platform (and support implementation of material master data solution)
• Consulting and supporting further NGBA activities for AP, EC and GET (technical material) regarding global material master data initiatives on the STIBO SaaS Solution
• In the context of NGBA projects you will support the development and the design and concept of a new substance master model that will be implemented in SAP S/4 and any supporting tools

QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant Business/IT studies with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Several years of experience in SAP Substance and Material Masterdata concepts. 
• Profound knowledge of SAP and non-SAP interface technologies (ALE, OData, WebService, KAFKA, ABAP Proxy, …)
• Understanding of development concepts/methodology
• Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities
• Agile working experience
• Experience in SAP standard incl. Fiori
• BTP knowledge
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve. 
• Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. 
• Fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
