Product Manager Yard Management (m/f/d)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In Yard Management we aim to digitalize the Yard logistics processes of all our sites at BASF. Within our global scope, our global team is offering on-premise and cloud SaaS products that cover different levels of complexity and standardization. We also offer a standard integration layer that will enable the use of our products in a multi-ERP scenario. In addition, we are building a Yard Analytics Data layer to enable our IBPs to perform their own analysis and to be AI-ready. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will lead a global cross-functional team consisting of ABAP developers, Fiori UI-5 developers, project managers, product owners and solution consultants 
• You will work closely with another product manager in the same area to drive all solutions while keeping a close contact with our global IBPs. 
• You will also lead two external teams of developers and consultants 
• You will be accountable for the effectiveness and efficiency of the deliverables of the team. Managing time, scope and budget of implementations 
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development and deployment of new logistics solutions. 
• You will be in close contact with different IBPs to expand the footprint of our solutions 
• You will be accountable for managing the costs of the product 
• You will support our business by driving the standardization of our solutions while ensuring the fulfillment of their differentiating requirements. 
• You will closely work with the Product Owners and Product Architects on designing and maintaining a sustainable and scalable roadmap. 
• You will be actively involved in the organizational development of the whole product family and be part of a mature agile team. 
• You will support your team members on their learning journey and provide them career coaching 

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree of computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or any comparable education with +5 years of experience in IT, preferably at large scale 
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.  
• Ability to orchestrate multiple projects and priorities effectively. 
• Ability to size software development projects, support on prioritization and support on roles and tasks assignation.  
• Strong communication and change management skills

• Strong customer focus, agile mindset and experience with agile frameworks 
• Fluency in spoken and written English 

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in SAP systems integrations is a plus 
• Experience in yard logistics, production logistics or related processes is a plus 
• Knowledge on SAP SD, TM, MM, WM, eWM is a plus 
• Experience in (gen)AI is a plus 
• Experience in ML is a plus
