WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We are looking for a highly dynamic, motivated, and collaborative person to join our team. We are focused on the modernization of legacy systems and development of new capabilities of digital solutions in the Operational EHS domain. There is a growing global need within BASF to leverage digitalization to continue BASF’s journey of EHS excellence and continuously improving our capabilities especially through digitalization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    As Product Manager Operational EHS Development, you are leading a global cross-functional team consisting full-stack developers and database engineers.
•    You will be accountable for the successful and on-time delivery of platform enhancements and module development according to the priorities of the stakeholder community and strategic target picture of the product.
•    Together with the Product Owner and in collaboration with other Product Managers in the oEHS domain, you will actively drive the development and continuous improvement of your product portfolio based on the needs of your global communities.
•    You will collaborate with other leaders within the organization to identify and realize synergies across different elements of the company portfolio, including technical consultation on product strategy and roadmap.
•    You drive the agile transformation of your product team and support your team members on their learning journey as well as the career coaching and development for your functional reports.
•    You will be actively involved in the organizational development of the whole product family and be part of an agile leadership team. 

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Degree of computer science, engineering, or any comparable education with 7+ years’ experiences in agile software or product development, preferably at large scales.
•    5+ years’ experience in team leadership and supervision or related responsibilities.
•    Able to independently size software development tasks and support assignment and prioritization efforts if needed.
•    Strong customer focus, act entrepreneurially and develop creative and innovative solutions.
•    Strong communication and change management skills.
•    Agile mindset and experience with agile ways of working.
•    Being a team player and a servant leader.
•    Fluency in spoken and written English.

•    Nice to have: Domain knowledge in engineering, maintenance or plant operations with good understanding of the related processes and business needs.
