BASF‘s Chemical Intermediates specializes in the production and marketing of a wide range of chemical intermediates. These chemical intermediates are used as essential components in numerous industries and applications, such as the plastics industry, paints and coatings, pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, textiles, and personal care products. The BASF Intermediates division is characterized by its focus on innovation, sustainability, and product quality. It works closely with its customers to develop customized solutions that meet the specific requirements and challenges of each industry. This position is located in the Digital Hub Madrid which is one of our global key locations to deliver digital solutions for BASF.

Our Supply Chain Excellence team leads globally with expertise on inventory, supply chain processes (like planning and order-to-cash), and drives innovation and change to these processes.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• You act as a link between globally harmonized systems and processes and the actual requirements in the supply chain, business units and local operations
• With your proficiency in the planning system OMP and SAP (R3/ S/4) you support the future development of our process and system landscape.
• You manage software projects, process improvements, and you master the interlinked change management.
• You derive, monitor and report appropriate KPIs for your processes.
• You collaborate with your global team of end-to-end supply chain experts as well as with stakeholders in and outside of our business on developments and trends.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

• Work experience >5 years in IT, supply chain, and/or business functions.
• University degree in business, computer science, supply chain and logistics, or related field
• Project management, Project leadership knowledge preferable
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning Process
• Knowledge of Planning tools, ideally OMP
• Strong knowledge of SAP (R3 or S/4) and master data
• People oriented mindset
• Organizational awareness and communication on all levels of organization
• English proficiency is a must.
