JOIN THE TEAM

We are currently seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining innovative digital solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful develop and maintain high-quality digital products.

We are looking for individuals with a diverse skill set and extensive knowledge on both the front-end and back-end components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will work closely with product stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and estimate the time and resources needed for these work packages
• You will be responsible for developing and maintaining digital products, by writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, as well as participate in code reviews to maintain the code quality and adherence to best practices to be able to adapt the solutions to changing conditions
• You will utilize Azure DevOps as the central development tool for managing code repositories and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Through continuous monitoring and testing you will ensure the quality, scalability, and performance of developed products, while you implement security measures and access controls to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, continuously optimizing solutions for faster response times and stability, providing support in resolving any arising issues, and documenting development progress
• You will be responsible for identifying, extracting, modelling, integrating, and presenting data from various internal and external sources
• You actively participate and contribute to development communities at BASF, proactively sharing experiences and knowledge to foster a culture of innovation and transparency
• In this role, your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain the front-end and back-end components of the digital products

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree, e.g. BacherlorDegree in Computer Science
• Min. 3-5 years of professional experience in software development (must)
• Experience in at least two comparable positions (must)
• Work experience within agile Digital teams and Jobs (must)
• Expert skills in Python programming especially with Django and ideally with (Django Rest Framework, Fast API, etc.)
• Knowledge of front-end development with skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and familiarity with modern frameworks (especially HTMX, ideally one of the following. Vue.js, React, Svelte, or Angular (not a must))
• Hands-on experience with back-end work such as: ETL processes, using and setting-up both relational and non-relational databases, parsing and creating CSV, JSON & XML files
• Ideally expertise in Python for Chemistry (RDKit, SBML)
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Communication Skills
• Apply IT Security best practices
• Expert English
• You are familiar with utilizing the technology stacks of major Cloud providers (Azure/AWS)
