Fire Wall Reviewer (m/f/d)

WELCOME TO BASF

You are familiar with the concepts of horizontal and vertical integrations for Production and Technology. Despite these concepts you stay focused to maintain robust and secure OT networks. 

You have experienced network security solutions, their limitations and challenges operating them. Your proposals for continuous improvements will be made with respect to the operational feasibility and cost. 

You will work in a large-scale global enterprise: A professional but complex environment of global change management, stakeholder alignment and the ability for workable proposals is already known to you and you are familiar with the challenges of outsourcing operations to global service network providers.
 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• You are the gatekeeper for new and existing firewall rules and related connectivity architectures in the OT environment of BASF. 
• You analyze gaps and opportunities and pro-actively initiate proposals to improve the situation in OT networks.
• You will be empowered to review and decide on changes in OT network designs and connections. 
• You will negotiate between business needs, project pressures and security requirements with a pinch of empathy for cultural differences.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, electronics, business informatics, DCS engineering or in a comparable field of the industry., 
• Minimum 3 years related working experience. 
• Strong knowledge of managing various firewall solutions, like Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, and potential other vendors of network devices. 
• You are familiar with the ISA99/IEC62443 Network Level Model and/or ISO 27001/27002
• You can quickly get acquainted with new tools, technologies, and methods.
• You have collected practical experience in the domain of Cyber Security

• Firewall workflow Management Tools, RSA Archer, ServiceNow 
• Familiar with APIs und Python to be ready for future technologies (like REST APIs, GraphQL)
