The Global Procurement division is responsible for BASF's purchasing activities worldwide. We negotiate contracts that provide BASF with tangible added value. Our focus includes the procurement of IT services, software and hardware. With our extensive market know-how and deep understanding of value chains, we are a valuable partner to the business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a Buyer, you will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating tenders and negotiations (RfX) within the respective categories.
• Your tasks will include implementing and monitoring contracts throughout the life cycle.
• You will also be the first point of contact for internal requesters, proactively identifying development and value-generating opportunities, coordinating responsibilities across categories and sites within procurement, and representing procurement locally.
• You will act as an interface to the category team and support supplier development, including overcoming language and cultural barriers.
• Last but not least, you will be responsible for Non-Conformance Management (NCM).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successfully completed Bachelor's/ Master´s degree in Business Administration or Computer Science
• Initial professional experience with knowledge of procurement processes and guidelines, as well as project experience
• Knowledge of contract design and negotiations, as well as legal foundations in procurement
• Proficient in MS Office applications and confident handling of SAP R/3, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), and Strategic Procurement Suite (SPS) or comparable sourcing tools.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English, German is a plus.
