WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Due to the strategic realignment of the Coatings business unit, a dedicated accounting department is being established. This presents an exciting opportunity to develop and shape the finance organization from its foundation. Therefore, we are looking for a Global Functional Process Owner Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) accounting (accounts payable) with the following objectives:

• You own the global P2P accounting processes, which include the accounts payable processes from the scanning of incoming invoices until the execution of the payment runs as well as travel and expense reimbursements.
• You establish and maintain global standards for P2P accounting, ensuring these are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements across the Coatings division.
• You oversee the P2P activities, identify and drive process improvement opportunities, leveraging technology and digital solutions to enhance automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the finance organization.
• Furthermore, you manage a third-party business process provider in the area of P2P and will implement process performance KPIs to steer the service provider.
• You collaborate closely with related functions such as Group Accounting as well as Procurement & Project Accounting, coordinate integration efforts, and ensure holistic alignment of accounting processes.
• In addition, you engage with internal stakeholders to ensure that P2P processes meet business needs and support strategic objectives.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• university degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; additional certifications such as CMA or CPA are an advantage
• at least 10 years of work experience in financial process management and optimization, with a strong focus on accounts payable accounting activities in a multinational corporation
• experience in the chemicals industry or a related industry, particularly during transitions or carve-outs, is highly beneficial
• strong understanding of accounting processes and process optimization methodologies
• proficiency in SAP R/3 and S/4, process mapping tools, and advanced MS Office skills
• excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
• fluency in English is required
