It is a full-time temporary position with payment according to the TV-L E13 tariff. The postdoctoral fellow will work in a joint project between the University of Heidelberg and BASF SE. Research experience in the field of homogeneous catalysis or green and sustainable chemistry is mandatory.
- You will be in charge of a joint project between the University of Heidelberg and BASF SE on industrially relevant topics
- Within the project, you will have frequent meetings with people from BASF and the University of Heidelberg.
- Presenting your work on conferences as well as in publications is also expected.
- You will work on the development of new homogeneous catalysts systems, which includes characterization of organometallic compounds, reactions in autoclaves, catalysis, organic synthesis, mechanistic investigations, experiment planning and use of screening equipment.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Ph.D. in organic, organometallic or molecular-based inorganic chemistry
- experience on homogeneous catalysis and/or organometallic chemistry
- hands-on experience in preparing and characterizing air- as well as temperature-labile compounds
