RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Engineering & Maintenance IT unit manages and supports the use of engineering software in the BASF Group.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team. BASF utilizes D365 to manage the internal local technical services, offering, central repair and maintenance as well as discrete manufacturing of spare parts and equipment.
As the D365 Solution Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our D365 system within a decentral IT team. You will play a key role in ensuring the system's stability, performance, and smooth operation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to identify and address system-related challenges, implement enhancements, and drive continuous improvement.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all D365 system-related issues, inquiries, and requests from internal stakeholders.

Manage the overall performance, stability, and availability of the D365 system and SAP integration, ensuring minimal disruptions to business operations.

Work closely with business units to understand their requirements, translate them into system enhancements, and manage the implementation process.

Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to develop and implement system upgrades, enhancements, and fixes.

Monitor systems integrations, conduct regular health checks, identify and address potential issues.

Stay up to date with the latest D365 features, industry trends, and best practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive system optimization and innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- proven experience in D365
- strong technical background and understanding of D365 system architecture and infrastructure, preferably including D365 Field Service Management or Supply Chain Management
- excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- solid knowledge of IT project management, agile methodologies and practices
- languages: German (C2), English (C1)
