WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We will soon be founding a separate company in our Agricultural Solutions division, which would then also employ our employees on a permanent basis. To bridge the gap, you will be employed by BASF SE on a temporary basis with the simultaneous binding promise of permanent employment in the new company.

As a Research Assistant you work in a highly committed and international team on the research & development of innovative crop protection solutions using digital tools.

• You support data collection in field trials with the use of drone-borne sensors and carry out independent field trials for method development in this field of work.
• Furthermore, you run plant protection application trials with spray drones.
• In addition to image data, you visually assess crop stands and present the results of the data documentation and evaluation across teams.
• You are responsible for the maintenance of drones and sensors.
• Another key element of your role is to develop a comprehensive specialist knowledge in your field.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• strong interest in agriculture and field trials as well as in digitalization and new technologies in this field of work
• successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in agriculture
• good knowledge and experience in agricultural practice and trials
• preferably experienced in the use of drones, GIS and photogrammetry software and data analysis (e.g. R, Python) 
• driving license (at least class B)
• proficiency in German and fluency in English
