The Surface Technologies global business unit of BASF's Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, is a leading supplier of applied surface technologies for metal, plastic and glass substrates. These specialty chemicals are used in many industries and markets, such as automotive, aerospace, aluminum finishing, coil or in the metalworking industry - supported by a large network of technical experts.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In the role as Global External Communications Manager (m/w/d) you will be responsible for:

• Development and implementation of a global external corporate communications strategy for Chemetall
• Proactive support of external global communication needs in the APAC, EMEA, and NA regions
• Development of external global communication channels, including social media platforms, corporate websites, and media relations
• Development and provision of global communication content for external communication channels
• Development and execution of high-impact global external multimedia campaigns to support products, technologies, and services, aiming to achieve business goals and position Chemetall as a leading company in the surface treatment industry
• Contact and support regional communication teams in external communication

WHAT YOU OFFER

• University degree in communications, journalism, or public relations
• At least five years of relevant professional experience, especially in external but also internal corporate communications, journalism, project management, as well as consulting and managing communication projects
• Expertise in content management systems, image and video creation, social networks, and employer branding
• Ability to prepare complex issues in an understandable manner and convey them to the target audience in text, image, and sound
• Effective and persuasive communication in dealing with stakeholders
• Goal-oriented working style with strong customer orientation, high consulting competence, and enthusiasm
• Strategic thinking and experience in strategy development
• Hands-on mentality and joy in building/optimizing processes
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
