RESPONSIBILITIES

 

In Global Regulatory Affairs, you will maintain solid working knowledge of regulatory issues, including changes in guidelines, interpretations or procedures within the US EPA, EU, Japan and Brazil and other key countries that may affect current or future product registrations. You will provide regulatory strategy and steering of assigned crop protection active ingredients to maintain our license to operate globally.

 

  • As a Global Regulatory manager, you are accountable for maintaining the license to operate of BASF active ingredients and products globally by ensuring informed regulatory decisions are made for the AI using sustainable development and product stewardship principles;
  • You oversee the active ingredient and product regulatory database and ensure its completeness for global registration needs, specifically in the insecticide / biopesticide product area;
  • Furthermore, you develop and implement global regulatory strategies that support agreed upon business goals, taking into consideration potential short and long-term issues and trends.
  • You are responsible for management and communication of project costs and timelines;
  • You interact and negotiate with the representatives from key regulatory authorities to achive regulatory objectives and inform and advise business teams on regulatory issues that impact project targets as well as represent BASF in relevant international industry and task forces.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Completed Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in an agricultural field or a related scientific discipline with relevant job experience;
  • Professional experience in regulatory affairs in the pesticide industry, ideally in biopesticides;
  • Broad working knowledge of global pesticide regulatory systems, associated laws and regulations;
  • Solution-orientated thinking and a strong initiative;
  • Effective and convincing communication skills and high motivation to achieve success together as a team.
