WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

BASF's Performance Chemicals division offers chemicals for various customer industries, such as plastics, automotive, refining, lubricants, oilfield and mining. With our Product Stewardship & Regulatory (PS&R) Solutions team at Performance Chemicals we provide services to all our businesses: We ensure regulatory compliance globally, understand customer needs, promote sustainable solutions, and drive sustainable portfolio development. Join our highly skilled team as soon as possible and help ensure the high quality of our master data for our Performance Chemicals products! 

 

 

  • You collect and evaluate the classification and labelling according to European and international chemical legislation (e.g. CLP, REACH, GHS) as well as industry-specific regulations based on chemical composition.
  • With responsibility for a specific part of our Performance Chemicals portfolio, you continuously evaluate our master data against applicable product safety requirements, perform quality checks and visualise data in dashboards.
  • You support the development of digital solutions and automation concepts for the provision of customer information on product safety, classification and labelling, regulatory status and product stewardship.
  • With the upcoming transition from BASF's current SAP R/3 system to S/4 HANA, you contribute your expertise to facilitate development and optimise relevant processes to ensure speed and quality of service.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • completed Bachelor´s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant 
  • relevant professional experience and knowledge in the fields of Product Safety
  • advanced knowledge of respective SAP modules (Master Data System), processes and systems as well as a good understanding of Office 365
  • fluent communication skills in German and English
  • strong initiative, determination, and a high focus on change management

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Gross annual salary (full-time): 48,000 - 52,000 €, depending on qualifications and professional experience, 58,000 € - 62,000 € possible with correspondingly higher qualifications. In addition, you can expect a bonus depending on the company's success as well as individual performance.
  • Flexible working hours so that you can organize your working and private life according to your needs.
  • Location-independent work models with defined days of presence in Berlin and place of residence in Germany.
  • 30 days of paid vacation, special leave and sabbatical options.
