RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Payroll Accountant Executive Specialist in the HR Services Team EMEA, you are eager to strengthen the payroll accountancy related services within the team HR Services EMEA.

  • You play the lead role of being the expert on payroll accounting topics that bridge Finance and Payroll services  
  • You closely monitor the tasks related to payroll accounts reconciliation and guide the service teams to establish monthly/yearly processes
  • You collaborate between various teams for providing solutions to payroll general ledger account related services 
  • You independently take responsibility for project works in the EMEA HR Services unit and play an active role in cross-team’s optimization of Payroll processes  
  • Partner management: you are constantly in exchange with the team of the Hub and the local partners to identify their needs related to the payroll accountancy tasks
  • Guide teams in reconciling payroll, tax and statutory accounts to the general ledger and to investigate and solve variances
  • Guide with preparation of quarterly payroll tax reporting and researching and resolving payroll/tax reporting issues
  • You analyze and respond to complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Continuous self-learning and enabling others to develop into payroll professionals is evident for you 
  • Support beyond the team and foster networking: you consult and share experiences within the department, with partners and other counterparts
  • You foster Knowledge and Innovation management by further concept development and optimization of processes, explore best-practice-solutions and modernization possibilities of respective IT-systems
  • You provide payroll-related data to Finance for the annual accounts and the corporate income tax declaration
  • You guide service teams to be compliant in payroll accounting activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A successfully completed bachelor or master’s degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • 3-5 years of fundamental experience in Accountancy or Finance
  • Additional knowledge and/or experience in Payroll for EMEA countries would be an advantage
  • Strong SAP Payroll / SAP Finance experience
  • English on advanced level is a must, German or other EMEA languages as a plus.
  • Profound exposure to regional tax, social security, and labor law. Understanding of accounting fundamentals and ledger balancing.
  • Experiences in coordinating projects and implementations.
  • Interest in supporting further process development and professional guidance of colleagues by best practice sharing.

  • Location-independent work models with defined days of presence in Berlin and place of residence in Germany
  • Gross annual salary (full time): 54,000€ - 58,000€, depending on qualifications and work experience. 65,000€ - 68,000€ possible with higher qualifications. In addition, you can expect a bonus dependent on the company's success as well as individual performance
