RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a part of our team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department. You will enhance data catalog and metadata management, ensure metadata quality, and work with teams and data owners to create transparency. Your role will involve developing standards, implementing the data strategy  in regard to metadata and driving data catalog adoption to improve processes and quality.

• You coordinate and support the resolution of data-related business questions in data cataloging and quality management.
• Furthermore, you prioritize the backlog by considering timelines and deliverables and applying agile working principles within your area of responsibility.
• As point of contact within your work area you are responsible for the organization, understanding and translation of business goals related to the AP Data Catalog.
• You identify stakeholders within the specific work area who know the data content details and contribute to resolving data-related business questions.
• In addition, you Support and collaborate with the Data Governance and Strategy team to create data transparency by applying conceptual data models, taxonomies, glossaries, and ontologies, making data findable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration or IT-related field
• experience in data management systems and respective data area 
• strong skills in process management and improvement
• several years of experience in project management as well as working in an agile environment
• excellent communication in English with strong presentation and moderation skills as well as good German skills
