WELCOME TO BASF

By constant innovation during the years, BASF A/S Ballerup has developed a unique powder formulation technology. We are specialised in microencapsulated formulations of vitamins, and carotenoids. Our products are mainly used in food, beverage and medical industries. We employ approximately 135 employees in Production, QA, QC, Process Management, EHS, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, and Administration.
We are currently looking for an Asset Manager to join our Maintenance Team and help us take our asset effectiveness to the next level.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As Asset Manager, you will report to the Head of Production and Maintenance and be an integral part of our maintenance team, working closely with our Technical Operational Responsible, our technicians, but also stakeholders within other departments as Engineering and Production.
Your working hours will be weekdays during daytime.
You will play a key role in driving the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of our assets. In this role, you will help shape the long-term equipment strategy for ensuring safe, stable, and cost‑effective operations.
As we navigate ongoing organisational and process changes, your ability to bring structure, data-driven insights, and clear prioritisation will be essential.

Responsibilities

As Asset Manager, your responsibilities will include:
•    Developing and maintaining the site-wide maintenance strategy, ensuring a structured, long‑term approach to reliability and asset performance
•    Conducting equipment criticality studies to support risk‑based prioritisation
•    Leading “bad actor” management, identifying recurring issues and coordinating corrective and preventive actions.
•    Optimising the spare parts portfolio. Assessing the current setup (“as-is”) and defining the future state (“to-be”) to ensure availability, cost effectiveness, and alignment with maintenance needs.
•    Driving SAP optimisation within the maintenance area, including asset structure, BOMs, and master data quality.
•    Preparing and tracking projects and improvements related to assets
•    Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date equipment lists, ensuring full traceability and compliance with internal standards.
•    Acting as a maintenance representative in cross-functional project teams, ensuring asset requirements and lifecycle considerations are included in site projects.

WHAT YOU OFFER

•    You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or bring equivalent competence through relevant experience.
•    You combine a strong technical foundation with excellent communication skills. Experience with automated production processes is a plus. You bring broad technical insight and demonstrate creativity, innovation, and adaptability in your daily work.
•    You have a solid understanding of compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your approach is detail oriented, analytical, and focused on solving problems efficiently and sustainably.
•    You are able to convince others with well grounded ideas while listening actively to colleagues to reach the best solutions together. You are motivated to continuously improve workflows and overall performance.
•    Fluency in both Danish and English is required.

WHAT WE OFFER

•    Responsibility and influence from day one in a dynamic work environment.
•    On-the-job training and development opportunities.
•    Competitive compensation and bonus program.
•    Health insurance coverage, including physiotherapy.
•    On-site fitness facilities and volunteer groups.
•    Convenient location near an S-train station for easy transportation, and possibility for DSB Erhverv pendler card.
