Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan

Contract type: permanent

Company: BASF Central Asia LLP

Working hours: Full-time, hybrid regime

Business trips: extensive business travelling (about 70%)

Planned start date: ASAP 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

EHS and Information protection:

• Live and promote "we never compromise on safety". Follow all environment, health and safety related precautions

• Business related information and documents should be protected against misuse or loss by appropriate Information protection measures

Compliance and Code of Conduct:

• Actively represent BASF Group interests and act as a role model with regards to Compliance and Code of conduct, ensure adherence to legal regulations and the company’s internal guidelines as well CORE values and principles

Strategy related focus:

• Be aware and support the implementation of the company strategies (both Global and Regional level) within one’s scope of responsibility

Regional scope:

• Support the implementation of the company strategies in the Region within one’s scope of responsibility

Strategy related focus:

• Ensure strategic positioning of BASF Group in the sub-region and in the focus countries within one’s scope of responsibility. Take ownership for the implementation of the Sub-regional strategy Region East and engage employees to define their own contribution to achieve strategic goals. Support country concepts and ensure their implementation for focus countries and support the revision/development/alignment of sub-regional strategies from a functional point of view 

 

MAIN TASKS:

 

Leadership tasks:

• Leadership / Coaching / Development of the Distribution Partners Technical Team. Live a positive management culture and drive engagement. Lead, coach and develop the team as well as reach out to other functional teams with leadership and experience.

Functional / Operational tasks:

• Organize and carry out Training Seminars for Distribution Partners and staff in his/her respective Region

• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing in depth ‘on the job’ customer technical support and training, official Training Seminars, Technician assessments and integrates correct repair processes

• Continuously transfers customer feedback into the Management Team

• Coordinates Training content, working methods and general focus with Product Management

• Continuously develops his/her knowledge of respective market, products and technologies

• Continuously develop excellent communication, argumentation and teaching skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education:

• Education & training required

• plus additional time-extensive job-related training including formal examination (e.g. PhD, BS - MS, MBA)

• Master Spray Painter

Working Experience:

• Broad/depth of experience required in Automotive Refinish Coatings

• Experience working with similar systems in a similar business environment

• Several years of technical Trainer experience

Industry and/ or Country specific requirements:

• Very good teaching and communication skills

• Understands and appropriately uses Customer Value Propositions

• Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, demonstrating integrity and flexibility

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

• Knowledge of both solvent and waterborne paint technology

• Outstanding knowledge of products and technologies

IT skills:

• Good level of IT user’s skills

• Understanding and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 

Language skills (level):

• English – fluent

• Russian - fluent

• (Kazakh – advantage)

• (Georgian – advantage)
