Objectives:
- This position will focus on precious metal analysis, include sample preparation and lab equipment operation, especially TGA, Combustion Analyzer(C/S) and GDMS operation.
Main Tasks:
- Involve and execute the EHS activities of plant lab; Manage the lab gas room and make sure all operation safely; Manage and collect samples; Separate and collect hazard waste with/without PM and send for further treatment.
- Keep equipment and instrument well maintained daily. Day-to-day troubleshooting analytical instrument and coordination with vendors for major maintenance and service.
- Day-to-day operation for precious metal analysis, according to work instruction.
- Become the expert on precious metals. Continuously cross check with Union and Rome lab to ensure the precision and accuracy of test are well maintained. Coach new lab technician and make sure all operation following the standard operation procedure.
- Test record kept well and data input into SAP& relevant lab datasheet.
- Management and track the outgoing sample to partnership lab.
- Assistant to update and revise the test method and test plan. Involve in the new method development.
- Involve the setup of lab quality management system, to meet the requirement of ISO17025 and ISO9001.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor or above in analyzing Chemistry.
- Working Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality control and inorganic analytical chemistry, GDMS experience is highly preferred.
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: Working knowledge of ICP-OES, ICP-MS and GDMS. Familiar with MS Office software.
- Language: Fluent spoken and written English is required, ECT-4 or above.
