Key Responsibilities
Functional
-
Provide L2/L3 support for SAP TM solutions: Freight agreement management, transportation planning, transportation execution, freight settlement and charge calculation
-
Configure and maintain transportation management master data (locations, means of transport, schedules, lanes, equipment types, etc.)

Manage integration touchpoints with SD, MM, EWM/WM, and Logistics Execution

Perform root cause analysis for recurring functional issues and propose permanent fixes
Technical
-
Debug and troubleshoot ABAP code, BAdIs, user exits, and enhancement points specific to TM
-
Build/support interfaces (IDoc, SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, EDI) between TM, carriers, and third-party logistics systems
-
Support Fiori apps and OData services used in TM solutions
-
Monitor and troubleshoot background jobs and resolve interface failures
-
Support outputs, print forms (Adobe Forms/SmartForms) for freight documents, BOLs, and carrier communication

Assist with authorization (PFCG roles) issues related to TM transactions
AMS / Service Delivery
-
Manage tickets (incidents, service requests, minor enhancements/CRs) within agreed SLAs using ITSM tools (ServiceNow)
-
Follow ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes
-
Perform impact analysis and regression testing for patches, support packs, and change requests
-
Maintain knowledge base articles, SOPs, and support documentation
-
Participate in on-call rotation and provide go-live/hypercare support as needed
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, EWM, Basis, PI/CPI) to resolve integrated issues
Required Skills & Experience
-
5–7 years of SAP TM experience, including at least one full support or implementation cycle on S/4HANA embedded TM
-
Strong hands-on configuration experience in TM (freight order/booking, charge management, and settlement, etc.)
-
Working ABAP debugging skills; ability to read/trace code and identify root cause, provide resolution without necessarily being a full-time developer
-
Experience with interface technologies: IDoc, EDI, SAP PI/PO or Integration Suite (CPI)
-
Familiarity with SD/MM/EWM integration points relevant to transportation processes
-
Experience working in an AMS/support model with defined SLAs and ticketing tools
-
Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset
Preferred / Good to Have
-
SAP TM or S/4HANA Logistics certification
-
Exposure to Fiori/UI5 apps and OData services
-
Experience with carrier integration platforms or telematics/track-and-trace tools
-
Basic knowledge of Adobe Forms/SmartForms
-
Prior experience in freight/logistics or 3PL industry domain
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field
Soft Skills

Clear communicator, comfortable interfacing directly with business stakeholders on support calls

Ownership mindset for ticket resolution and documentation

Ability to prioritize under SLA pressure across multiple concurrent issues

Team player, comfortable in a distributed/cross-timezone support model
