Objectives of the Position
This role serves as a Regional PMO Lead and key execution partner to the Head of Product Safety APAC, driving disciplined execution of strategic priorities across the region.
The incumbent will manage multiple cross-functional initiatives across Asia Pacific, ensuring strong governance, delivery discipline, and alignment across stakeholders. Acting as an extension of the Head of Unit, the role enforces milestone adherence, escalates risks with clear actions, and drives timely decision-making in a complex, matrix environment.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Portfolio Management
- Lead and manage multiple strategic programmes across APAC
- Establish and drive PMO governance frameworks (prioritisation, reporting cadence, decision gates)
- Consolidate and manage portfolio view (milestones, dependencies, risks, resources)
- Ensure on-time, on-scope delivery of global and/or region initiatives
- Resolve cross-project dependencies and execution gaps
Strategic Execution Support
- Act as a trusted execution partner to the Head of Product Safety Asia Pacific
- Translate strategic priorities into clear execution roadmaps and milestones
- Prepare executive-level updates, briefings, and decision materials
- Drive follow-up and ensure closure of key action items across teams
Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Drive accountability across regional and global stakeholders
- Facilitate decision-making across functions and seniority levels
- Identify, escalate, and resolve risks, delays, and resource constraints
Project Governance, Reporting & Analytics
- Establish standardised dashboards (KPIs, milestones, risks)
- Lead regular programme reviews with leadership
- Ensure transparent, data-driven reporting and insights
- Track performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities
Change Management & Implementation
- Drive end-to-end change execution across APAC initiatives
- Ensure effective communication, training, and adoption of changes
- Support organisational transformations and operating model enhancements
Requirements
Education
-
University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science field
Working Experience
- At least 10 years in Programme management / PMO roles in a corporate environment
- Track record managing complex, cross-functional or global programmes
- Experience supporting senior leadership / executive stakeholders
- Strong exposure to governance frameworks and portfolio management
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Knowledge of chemical regulations and product stewardship
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills in matrix organisations
- Experience with regulatory systems and data analytics tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI)
- Strong communication skills, including executive-level presentations
