Objectives of the position
Our newly-established “Plant Maintenance Web Solutions” team will provide innovative Web- and Mobile-based solutions to the BASF Verbund Plant in Zhanjiang, China. As an Agility Master / Scrum Master, you will play a key role within this team as we develop the required solutions over the coming years.
Main tasks
- Build and coach an agile team to achieve a high level of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Guide, coach and support the team via a servant leadership style and leading by example
- Setup of Ceremonies and tools for Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices
- Protect the team from interruptions, impediments, and external interferences in order to keep the team focused within the context of the product vision and goals
- Facilitate discussion, decision-making and conflict resolution
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Support Agile transformation at team and organization level
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience.
Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory):
- Experience as an Agile leader (similar position as a Scrum Master / Flow Master)
- Experience in at least one of the following two roles:
- Scrum Master role for a team(s) that was/were diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory
- Flow Master / Service Delivery Manager / Flow Manager / Delivery Manager role for a team(s) that was/were diligently applying Kanban principles, practices and theory
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Excellent training skills and is able to teach Agile, Scrum and Kanban content (Values, Principles, User Stories, Estimations, STATIK, Continuous Improvement etc.)
- Able to facilitate workshops / meetings / events
- Experience working in an international environment
- Relevant working experience as a Web Developer
Technical & Professional Knowledge (nice to have):
- Some understanding of SAP PM/EAM
Others:
- Mastery of written and spoken English
- Have a structured, independent, and conscientious working style
Education:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, Business Informatics or a comparable field; or
- Certification in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, LEAN etc.)
- Professional coaching certification
- Certification in full stack tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps etc.)
