Located in Kuala Lumpur, the Shared Services Center provides functional services in the areas of finance, controlling, information services, human resources, environment, health & safety, procurement and import-export order management to BASF Group companies in 19 markets across Asia Pacific. BASF Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, established in 1997, provides infrastructure and utilities support services to BASF sites in Malaysia. BASF holds 60% of its joint venture BASF PETRONAS Chemicals Sdn Bhd, which operates a state-of-the-art Verbund production site in the Gebeng Industrial Zone, Pahang, and 50% of Toray BASF PBT Resin Sdn Bhd. BASF posted sales to customers in Malaysia of approximately €390 million in 2021 and had 2,295 employees as of the end of the year. Objectives of the Position 
As part of the Engineering & Production team, you will be reporting to Manager and support day to day activity (documentation and on-site) for Production department Polymer Dispersion Plant, the task will be focused on Engineering, Production, Polymers, Safety and Quality point of view.

 

Main tasks
•    Revising/Reviewing Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment for Polyline 1 and 2
•    Revising/Reviewing Operating procedure, Work Instructions & Work Specific Procedures as per current routine task for Polyline 1 and 2.
•    Identify and execute for completion of Line labels/Equipment tagging labels.
•    To check and create attachments/ documents as per Management of Change (MOC) requirement.
•    To help with P&ID review for Polyline 1 and 2 and help to coordinate the changes with drafter.
•    To help with 5S initiatives for plant.

 

Requirements
•    Commitment to minimum 5-month full-time internship. 
•    Currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or any related disciplines
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, Powerpoint and etc.
•    Able to work independently 
•    Possess own transport, willing to work at Pasir Gudang, Johor
