Objectives of the position

• Direct and monitor overall operation activities of Manufacturing Site to achieve the Operational Excellence goals: safety, quality and economical production and strive for continuous improvement.
• Formula and implement manufacturing policies and programs which enable the site organization to improve its competitive position.
• Identify, prepare and implement growth opportunities together with business and operations management.
• Ensure site & plant operations comply with local statutory requirement including necessary permit and labor requirement

Main Area of Responsibilities and Key Activities

Operational Excellence:

1.Establish, direct and monitor the overall operations activities to maintain high standards of manufacturing operation

2. Cost control

• Decide, monitor and control the budget in responsible areas to operate within approved budget.
• Report on operations costs according to company reporting policies.
• Provide inputs to Regional Operations in development and formulation of long & short-term planning policies, programs and objectives.
• Elaborate concepts for site development

3.Site Organization Development

• Optimize the organization and decide manpower requirement.
• Support implementation of HR policies and system including succession planning and potential candidate development
• Set targets, measure performance and award compensation and bonuses according to performance criteria.

4. Ensure efficient maintenance of all production equipment, building and other assets to effective utilization by maximizing operational reliability and availability

5. Initiate and encourage the team to participate pro-actively OpEx idea and register in OpEx database

Quality:

1. Ensure that products confirmed to established local customs and quality standards i.e. ISO 14001, 9001 and to attain maximum efficiency in the production process.
2. Ensure all HALAL products are manufactured and compliance with all HALAL requirements.

EHS and Responsible Care:

1. Fulfill company commitments to Responsible Care by developing and implementing operational safety policies according to internal and external (local) regulations and guidelines.
2. Ensure all local statutory EHS and BASF requirements are fulfilled.
3. Implement effective improvement program to improve EHS, to increase awareness of the employees and to improve safe operations of the plants as define in A-EDA Safeway

Technoloqy

1. To transfer technology to ED Global Team or BASF SE from Cengkareng or vice versa
2. Sharing best practices among ED technology community.
3. Initiate process optimization for a new product to achieve competitive cost.

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Chemical Engineering is preferred)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in chemical manufacturing especially in project and operation management
• Technical & Professional Knowledge: EHS, Costing, Process and Operational Expertise
• Strong Leadership experience with strong Chemical Manufacturing background
