About the Role:

The Global Process Expert – Credit Management & Collection provides in-depth process, technical, and business expertise to support global Finance Service Delivery Units across Invoice-to-Cash operations. The role is responsible for designing, governing, standardizing, and continuously improving global Credit Management & Collection processes while ensuring end-to-end consistency, operational excellence, and alignment with BASF’s enterprise architecture. The position also supports service transitions, process governance, automation, and major finance transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA system transitions.

Key Responsibilties:

• Support the Service Delivery Unit through in depth process, technical & business knowledge. 
• Support transition of new service scope to the service delivery units by ensuring adherence to global standard operating procedures & tools and support with required change management
• Designs, steers, and continuously improve global Credit Management & Collection processes, ensuring end to end consistency and alignment with BASF’s enterprise architecture.
• Owns and steers the global Credit Management & Collection service product portfolio, including KPIs, controls, compliance requirements, and global service definitions to safeguard operational excellence.
• Embeds and drives automation, RPA, and AI driven solutions into processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload.
• Ensures process readiness and integration for major transformation programs and system transitions (e.g. SAP S/4).

Minimum Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s degree / University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
•  Chartered Accountant / Certified Professional Accountant qualification is preferred, subject to applicable market requirements.
•  More than 5 years’ experience working in Finance, with at least 2 years in Credit Management & Collection
•  Project management for finance processes is an advantage.  

Technical Skills:

•  In‐depth knowledge and understanding of SAP FI (R3 and/or S/4)
•  Strong knowledge in Credit Management & Collection processes
•  Experience in global shared services transition or consolidation
•  Strong stakeholder influencing and decision-making capability
•  Knowledge and experience of MS off.
