About the Role:

Support operational controlling activities for assigned business areas by performing financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cost monitoring. Provide reliable financial insights to stakeholders, support service charging governance and project cost management, contribute to performance tracking and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Controlling Tasks (service charging contract governance & ownership, monthly reporting/ budget tracking, forecasting, annual budgeting, ad-hoc cost analysis / deep dives, run charging activities and manage residuals, analyze and monitor cost flows, provide transparency on cost drivers to stakeholders).
• Project Coordination: Support Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting and Ad-Hoc analysis of Project Cost.
• Performance Management: Support (ad-hoc) analysis of KPI output, identification & execution of improvement measures, automation/improvement of KPI tracking
• Conduct cost analysis, monitoring, reporting, and budgeting for your assigned business area.
• Deliver reliable financial information to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate management inquiries and structure complex ad-hoc analysis.
• Liaise with the Finance Manager of the company to ensure compliance with BASF Group’s guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields and recognized professional qualification (e.g. CA, CMA)
• Professional experience 2-4 years, relevant experience in business or controlling functions is preferred
• Team player with a high service orientation with proactive approach and continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication skills in English
• Excellent analytical skills, with a strong ability to learn and work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to operate in high-autonomy environments with strong decision-making accountability.
• Demonstrated capability to influence strategic outcomes while ensuring governance, compliance, and operational excellence.

Technical Skills:

• Professional experience with ERP/IT tools such as SAP FI/CO, SAP BW, MS Office and PowerBI
