This position is based at BASF PETRONAS Chemicals' Sdn Bhd, a RM3.4 billion joint venture that combines the innovative strengths and capabilities of two well-established Fortune 500 companies, BASF SE (60%), the world's leading chemical company and PETRONAS (40%), Malaysia’s fully integrated energy company with a wide network of operations around the world.   • Provide 1st level maintenance servicing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintain the reliability of the analyser systems.
  • Maintain inventory controls to ensure cost effective operations.
  • Coordinate special project as directed by the Analyser Manager.
  • Responsible for alerting the Analyser Manager for any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
  • Update and record any maintenance activities inside the SAP-system.
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
  • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors

  • Diploma or Certificate in equivalent qualification in Engineering/ Science from an accredited institution.
  • About 1 to 3 years experience of relevant experience.
  • Must have good knowledge and troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure to meet specified deadlines.
  • Good proficiency of English, both spoken and written
  • Have basic SAP skills.
