Description

MAIN TASKS

• Collaborate, and participate with BASF and PETRONAS on vendors market and their performance in various procurement segmentations (Indirect, Direct, Logistics), to strengthen procurement negotiation at all times.

• Manage conclusion of procurement deals (Indirect, Direct, Logistics) in most efficient way and the best favourable terms for the company.

• Support investment projects to purchase materials and spares for start up and commissioning

• Support investment projects by negotiating favourable contracts (SRM/OA) for bulk materials and spares.

• Ensure procurement activities are in compliance with law and regulations, contract terms and conditions, policies, procedures and processes.

• Manage the collaboration with end users and vendors for best cost advantage and win- win partnership with no violation of company’s values, principles, codes and conduct

• Create awareness among suppliers and users about proper channel for professional commercial negotiation. Review market analyses, benchmarking and historical data to make possible effective negotiation to get the best possible deals for all purchases in the forms of order, agreements and contracts and valuable input from both JV partners

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 years working experience in Procurement, in medium or major corporations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Engineering/ Science/ Finance & Accounting from recognized University.

• Possess very good communication and interpersonal skills with high level of integrity

• Proactive, possess drive and commitment towards standard and performance for self

• Able to work under intense pressure in a fast paced environment to deliver within tight deadlines

• Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks

• SAP experience – Able to give 1st level support and coordinate with SAP User

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel – Intermediate)
