As a Technical Service Specialist, you will work with some of the largest Body Shop and Distribution organizations in the market through paint application process development, correct application of products through teaching & hands on demonstrations and helping the sales team convert new business. You will work closely with the sales team to make sure our distribution partners are properly trained and can effectively sell and position our product offerings against competitive product lines. In addition, you will work with the Business Development and Sales team to gain new business and ensure identified Body Shop KPI’s are achieved. Travel is expected to be 30-50%.
As a Technical Service Specialist – MD and Washington, DC, you will...
- Be responsible for the technical success of Surventis Coatings products, in MD and DC with overlap support in VA, DE and PA markets.
- Work on coating technologies including solvent & waterborne base coat/clear coat systems, OEM paint approval process, new product and process development at the field level and affecting positive financial impact through product usage and application training.
- Train and develop our Body Shop and Distribution customers and make process improvement recommendations that can be highly valuable to end users.
- Lead new product and customer demonstrations, be proficient in product application, selling and implementing new products, and generate a positive experience with Surventis Coatings-branded products.
- Participate in the technical aspects of the sales process.
- Lead customer training to ensure Surventis product proficiencies and product conversions of new Surventis customers.
- Work with the Surventis team to help meet and exceed new business and financial targets.
- Add value to our customers through root cause analysis, trouble-shooting technical applications, and color match issues.
If you have...
- HS Diploma (or equivalent) coupled with relevant experience.
- 7+ years of industry experience as a refinish technician.
- Strong understanding of competitive products and tools.
- Proficiency with Surventis Automotive Refinish products and technology tools (a plus).
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools to lead presentations focused on introducing new products to the market and supporting a better understanding of Surventis coatings-branded products.
- CRM expertise is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
