WELCOME

In the Coatings division, we offer far more than just paints and coatings. Our approach is to put the needs of our customers at the centre and always think one step ahead. Our motto ‘We always go beyond the surface’ makes it clear that we are not only focussed on the products themselves, but also on the reasons why we develop them. We are interested in creating innovative solutions that promote future growth and fulfil the requirements of the market. With our extensive knowledge and experience, we work to provide tailored coatings solutions that create real value and build strong partnerships.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a new standalone business, we are adapting our Controlling organization with a strong focus on value creation. At its core sits a dedicated Value & Cost Controlling team whose primary tasks are to measure progress on the company’s value‑creation initiatives and to increase transparency on their financial impact.

  • In your new role, you ensure transparency across all Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs), covering scope, service levels, costs, charges, budgets, and timelines across all functions and regions.
  • You monitor TSA-related costs, charges, and budgets, perform variance analyses, and provide reliable financial reporting and forecasting for Finance and senior management.
  • In close collaboration with Group Functions, you validate incoming TSA charges against the agreed scope, service levels, and pricing mechanisms while tracking exit costs, dual-run expenses, replacement costs, stranded costs, and the cost step-up into the standalone target operating model.
  • Furthermore, you act as the central contact for TSA service owners, coordinate regular reviews, monitor milestones, and identify risks or deviations at an early stage to support a timely transition into the target setup.
  • You work closely with colleagues from Controlling, Procurement, Legal, IT, operational functions, and their Controlling counterparts to ensure a consistent understanding of TSA terms and support the successful transition into the target setup.
  • In addition, you contribute to the continuous improvement of TSA controlling processes, tools, methodologies, governance standards, dashboards, reporting, and steering committee materials, while supporting ad-hoc analyses and decision papers related to TSA scope changes, extensions, and early exits.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • university degree in finance, controlling, business administration, economics, or a related field
  • several years of professional experience in controlling, FP&A, or comparable finance functions in an international company
  • strong controlling background combined with an analytical mindset and a hands-on, pragmatic approach
  • experience in managing service agreements, cost controlling for shared services, or complex cross-functional projects; experience in business transitions or the chemicals industry is beneficial
  • proficiency in SAP, BI tools (e.g. Power BI, SAC), and advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • very good language skills in English and excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural environment

WHAT WE OFFER

  • We ensure the attractiveness of our salaries through regular benchmarks. Benefits can be customized via bonuses. Company-financed accident and supplementary care insurance as well as an attractive pension plan offer comprehensive coverage.
  • At our location in Münster, we have our own “Freizeit” fitness studio with an attached physiotherapy practice, permanently employed company doctors, an “Auszeit” company restaurant including a café bar, a bilingual ‘LackiKids’ company daycare center, and a “LackiKids on Tour” vacation program.
  • We offer 30 days of vacation per year (full-time), additional leisure options, and a 37.5-hour work week.
  • Employees aged 57 and over receive 2.5 hours/week of additional free time; for employees working shifts, this entitlement applies from the age of 55.
  • We offer a wide range of local and global development and career opportunities for professional and personal development.
